Goal 1: In search of new district leadership

Our most immediate goal is to find a successor to Dr. Joyce Henstrand, who is retiring in June 2012. She’s been a creative and strong leader, who has been instrumental in helping us navigate through tough economic times. 

The district will retain a professional search firm to assist in identifying strong candidates to replace Dr. Henstrand. The public, parents, teachers and staff will be asked for their input throughout the search. Our first step is to conduct an online survey to understand the community’s thoughts about desired characteristics we want in a new leader. The results of the survey will be shared with you and will be used to help the school board as it considers candidates.

The public, parents and staff will have many other opportunities to share their views in the selection process. Watch this site and school publications for more information and updates. Please respond to our new survey.

It is the board’s goal to make a selection by next spring.
